This has been my second Thanksgiving away from my family (the first one was while I was on my mission in Germany). And the past few days leading up to today have been difficult. Every day I wonder why I'm here and why I can't be with my family. My birthday and Thanksgiving have always been spent with my family. To help me feel better my dad suggested that I write down every day something that I am thankful for. It's helped me to realize that even though I can't be with my family right now, that I am very blessed.
